Trudi & Jasper

     Jasper and Trudi came to Health Heelers in 2004 when Jasper                     was just two years old. Laura says...

"I immediately bonded with this brilliant brown, caramel and white colored Border Collie who reminded me of Scampy,  a springer mix I grew up with and the pet that I credit my full-blown love of animals to.  Alongside his then handler, Trudi, Jasper readily took on the role of therapy dog and Trudi and I quickly became close friends. When Trudi died in 2007, Jasper came to live with me at the request of Trudi’s family. In their words, "We want Jasper to continue his important work."  Today Jasper remains active in Health Heelers programs and joins me for presentations and special events. Health Heelers is dedicated to Trudi’s memory and to the great compassion she bestowed on others, with therapy dog, Jasper, at her side".
